The Lepidoptera Breeders Association is a UK based  privately ran enterprise which supports and promotes the study of Moths and Butterflies by practical hands on interaction. Captive Breeding programmes ensure the survival of many Lepidoptera species both British and Exotic. This practical approach offers the unique chance for all to experience the joy of rearing Moths and Butterflies and in turn promotes conservation, knowledge, education and awareness. BOOKS

We offer a small selection of books on various topics pertaining to Lepidoptery. Books include practical and identification guides.
CABINET SET & PAPERED SPECIMENS
We offer a selection of either Dried & Paperered Lepidoptera OR SET cabinet ready specimens. Mounted specimens are used in reference collections and are an invaluble addition to the study of Lepidoptera and Entomology. If you purchase a "Papered" specimen you will have to "Relax" the wings/body and mount/Set the insect yourself. This does require some skill! Alternatively most specimens can be purchased "SET" that is cabinet ready. See drop down menu tabs on each species.
EDUCATION

Education is an important part of understanding the world around us includeing Butterflies and Moths. We offer various packages to help enhance your understanding both for Private individuals and Schools.

EQUIPMENT

We offer a small range of equipment to meet the needs of active Lepidopterists, including rearing and breeding cages, specimen cases, setting boards etc...
LARVAL & NECTOR PLANTS

Caterpillars need food! We offer a selection of popular plants and trees used as larval foodplants. We buy these in to order and prices can vary. However we feel it is important to offer this service to go hand in hand with livestock. Our selections are also perfect to enhance your Garden and attract Butterflies and Moths.
LIVESTOCK EGGS / LARVAE / PUPAE

We offer a large selction of livestock which is bred by ourselves or by fellow enthusiasts. Some colonies are available continually others from time to time depending on captive breeding sucess rates. Please note that all species listed are captive bred and NOT taken from the wild.
PRE-ORDERING
As many of the species listed are available sporadicly from various breeders we sadly cannot have everything available all of the time. This is especially true of livestock and British Butterflies in particular. We su
