Lepidoptera Breeders Association

The Lepidoptera Breeders Association is a UK based  privately ran enterprise which supports and promotes the study of Moths and Butterflies by practical hands on interaction. Captive Breeding programmes ensure the survival of many Lepidoptera species both British and Exotic. This practical approach offers the unique chance for all to experience the joy of rearing Moths and Butterflies and in turn promotes conservation, knowledge, education and awareness. We hope you enjoy this site and find the information useful.

BRITISH BUTTERFLIESWe offer a selection of CAPTIVE BRED British Butterflies for science, schools, education and reference. Please note that under BRITISH LAW so long as protected species have not been taken from the wild or have been collected prior to the application of the law then they may be offered for sale. Please note the LBA offer only very small numbers of Butterflies which have generally died naturally and are of adequate quality for setting. We stress that it is illegal to capture wild Butterflies. See our articles section on "LAW" (Up to CABINET SET & PAPERED SPECIMENS)
